Belmont Little League Mission Statement
As a charter member of Little League, Belmont Little League, Incorporated, in full agreement with the Little League's mission statement, endeavors to provide a safe, affordable, well organized program through which boys and girls can learn and enjoy the game of baseball or softball. In addition, we aspire towards an environment of community in which children, parents, and volunteers can participate freely and work toward our common goal of becoming responsible adults.
Little League Mission Statement
Little League, Incorporated is a non-profit organization whose mission is "to promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball." Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical well being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage and loyalty, the Little League Baseball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.
Who is Belmont Little League?Belmont Little League is a chartered Little League organization operating under Illinois District 11 and has been serving the youth of Joliet since 1951. Belmont Little League is also recognized through the Little League Urban Initiative program. The Little League Urban Initiative program provides assistance packages that aid with equipment acquisition, grants for players, field development and renovation, access to Little League Baseball and Softball Education and Training programs, advocacy, and networking.
Belmont Little League is open to boys and girls who reside in Joliet, IL and is open to children who attend Joliet School District 86 and 204. We also serve children who reside in Joliet. If your child doesn't attend public school, no worries you can check your eligibility here.
